Serve: Lift out using the parchment paper, cut into squares, and enjoy the burst of bubblegum flavor in each bite!
FAQs:
Why is my marshmallow fudge soft?
The amount of time you cook fudge directly affects its firmness. Too little time and the water won’t evaporate, causing the fudge to be soft.
What does cream of tartar do in fudge?
If you add a teaspoon of Cream of Tartar to fudge this will inhibit the formation of crystals to a degree but please be aware THIS DOES NOT REPLACE THE BEATING PROCESS!
How do you make fudge creamy and not grainy?
A lot of big crystals in fudge makes it grainy. By letting the fudge cool without stirring, you avoid creating seed crystals. Stirring would help sucrose molecules “find” one another and start forming crystals
Why is my sugar not dissolving in fudge?
It could also be possible that the mixture is boiled for slightly too long. Fudge is made by boiling a sugar mixture to “soft ball” stage (115c/238F). If you are using a sugar thermometer then it may be worth checking the accuracy by putting the thermometer in a saucepan of boiling water (it should read 100c/212F)
What is the difference between fudge and caramel?
What is fudge? While caramel usually contains just one key ingredient, fudge is made from a perfectly balanced mixture of sugar, butter, and milk. Plus, it’s not heated as high — around 115 degrees Celsius.
How do you keep homemade fudge soft?
Wrap your fudge in an air-tight container. Several layers of saran wrap, vacuum seal, Tupperware should all keep the moisture locked in pretty good. A couple hours before you would like to enjoy your fudge, take it out of the freezer and allow it to thaw out on your counter.
