Ingredients:
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
Cotton candy flavoring, as desired
Food coloring, as desired

Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.
Add in the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract, mixing until everything is well combined.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Add the cotton candy flavoring and food coloring to the dough, mixing until the color is evenly distributed.
Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
