Leche Chocolate Cheesecake Bars

Ingredients:

For the Crust:

1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs

1/4 cup sugar

1/2 cup melted butter

For the Cheesecake Filling:

16 oz cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup sugar

2 eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 cup dulce de leche

For the Chocolate Swirl:

1/2 cup chocolate chips

2 tbsp butter

For the Topping:

Dulce de leche, for drizzling

Chocolate shavings (optional)

Instructions:

Preparation: Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C). Line a 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper, allowing the sides to overhang for easy removal.

Crust: In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Press evenly into the bottom of your prepared pan.

Cheesecake Filling: In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, fully incorporating after each addition. Mix in vanilla extract and dulce de leche. Pour over the crust.

Chocolate Swirl: Melt chocolate chips and butter in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second bursts, stirring until smooth. Drizzle over the cheesecake filling. Swirl with a knife or toothpick to create a marbled effect.

Bake: Place in the oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the cheesecake is set.

Cool: Let cool completely in the pan, then chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.

Finish: Using the parchment overhang, lift the cheesecake from the pan. Drizzle with more dulce de leche and sprinkle with chocolate shavings if desired.

Serve: Cut into squares and serve chilled.

Additional Tips:

Enhance the topping by adding chopped nuts or a sprinkle of sea salt.
