Red Velvet Pound Cake Recipe 

Dive into the rich elegance of this Red Velvet Pound Cake, an irresistible treat that marries the classic charm of red velvet with the dense, buttery texture of a traditional pound cake!

Ingredients:

1 cup unsalted butter, softened
2 1/2 cups granulated sugar
6 large eggs
3 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup buttermilk
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 tablespoons red food coloring
Cream cheese frosting (optional for topping)

Directions:

1️⃣ Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease and flour a 10-inch bundt pan.

2️⃣ In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

3️⃣ Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

4️⃣ In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.

5️⃣ Gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Stir in vanilla extract and red food coloring until the color is evenly distributed.

6️⃣ Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan and smooth the top with a spatula.

7️⃣ Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

8️⃣ Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting onto a wire rack to cool completely.

9️⃣ Once cooled, drizzle with cream cheese frosting if desired.
